Best Fall Spots in London

It is officially Fall in London, or Autumn if you prefer it.  With the season fully in swing I have been taking in everything the city has to offer from the likes of foliage to pumpkin spice (where I can get it).  I am very much a person who likes to make the most and really delve into every single season, and Fall is no exception.  I have definitely had some great autumnal walks this year, but these are by far my favorites to see some foliage and enjoy gorgeous views.

BATTERSEA PARK

Probably my favorite of all the parks in London, in any season.  I like that you can walk along the River Thames, as well as get completely lost in the park and somehow have a tropical botanical experience.  Like every other season, the park does not disappoint in Fall.  Lots of hidden corners and serene hideaways if you explore long enough

HAMPSTEAD HEATH

My lord, this blew me away truly.  I am relatively new to this park, as my first experience here was only this past summer.  Recently I stumbled on an inspiring little section of the park called, The Hill Garden and Pergola.  Please do not miss this! It is free admission.  Hampstead is slightly out of the way, but totally worth it if you can make it there!

REGENTS PARK

It’s a great park for many reasons but during Autumn the main drag is tree lined and magical. From Primrose Hill you can also get extensive views of foliage throughout the rest of the park.

 WANDSWORTH PARK

Definitely not a main tourist attraction, but something about the way the trees line the river path and hang over the water has me excited for fall every single time I walk through.

FULHAM PALACE/ BISHOPS PARK

You can enjoy the river front whilst also having the luxury of visiting the walled garden at Fulham Palace.  The park has a nice water feature that highlights the Fall Colors surrounding it.

 ST. JAMES PARK/ GREEN PARK

If you are looking for that super ‘Londony’ view or experience, I would say look no further than these two parks.  I chose to lump these two together since, often, you can kind of walk from one to the other without noticing.  These parks will bring you to Buckingham Palace or give you that oh so iconic view with the London Eye in the backdrop.  For a tourist I would say you can have the quintessential London experience in these two parks, whilst having the Fall backdrop we are all craving!

*Some honorable mentions, and maybe obvious choices, Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens and lastly a walk down the Kings Road ending at Sloane Square will give you all the autumn feels~

**Just a little pro tip, every year the weather is different of course, but this year the foliage was not in full swing till about the last two weeks of October till around mid-November, just food for thought!

Where are your favorite spots to feel that gorgeous Fall atmosphere?
