A Day at the US Open

As a native New Yorker, and an avid sports fan I am not sure how it has taken me this long, but I have finally made it to the US open this year.  Coming off of the finals this past weekend, and all the hype that has been happening the past two weeks, it has been all that I can think about.  

I must say, if you have the opportunity to attend, take it! One of the most exhilarating sporting experiences I have had, the excitement is palpable.  My suggestion, and I don’t think this is really any sort of secret, go the early days of the tournament as you will get the most bang for your buck! You get to walk around and see loads of matching playing side by side.  Chances of seeing your tennis idols are high these first few days. 

Indulged in a ‘Honey Deuce’ or two, I definitely did.  Truly, was not expecting it to be as good as it was.  Hot tip: If you are a chase card holder, look into the lounges as you can eat and escape the heat in these air-conditioned spots!

But truly, despite the ahem hefty price tag of the day, I would do it all again.  It was truly so fun, I did not want to leave when the day was over.  Looking forward to heading back in 2024!
